Atomized ceramic slurry is a kind of finely ground ceramic powder, which is produced by the atomization process. The spray-dried mix must be dissolved with 30% of water before being used.
About Us
New Spica was born from the managerial experience of two companies, Gemica Srl and KMK Granit a.s , tha fused their competences.
G.E.M.I.C.A. S.r.l., founded in 1995 in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana, a national and international pole for the production of sanitary ware and tableware, boasts more than forty years of experience in the ceramic sector. Thanks to the director Ermanno Gagliardi and his father Vincenzo, Gemica is today a reference brand for Italian and foreign producers of sanitary ware, artistic ceramics, roof tiles and bricks. Gemica supplies raw materials and ancillary products through collaboration with world-class companies.
KMK GRANIT was founded in 1992. Since its origins, the company has specialized in mining and mineral processing. The company's main product is feldspar raw material, mainly intended for the ceramics sector. Since its creation, KMK GRANIT has carried out a complete modernization of its production facilities. The company supplies the local Czech market and export markets, especially Poland and Germany. On August 30, 2006, KMK GRANIT became a public limited company.

NSS2026: NEW SPICA SOLAR 2026
Obiettivo: in linea con obiettivi e finalità dell’APEA Distretto Industriale di Civita Castellana, di cui l’impresa NEW SPICA S.R.L. è socia, il progetto mira a rendere il processo produttivo più sostenibile mediante la realizzazione di un nuovo impianto fotovoltaico di potenza totale pari a 199,98 kWp.
Il progetto, identificato con numero A0940-2025-102550, è realizzato da NEW SPICA S.R.L. con una spesa totale ammessa di Euro 235.785,00 ed è co-finanziato dal Programma FESR Lazio 2021-2027, nell’ambito dell’Avviso Pubblico “Energia Solare per le Imprese”, con un contributo concesso di Euro 153.312,00.
CHAMOTTE 5.0: INNOVAZIONE SOSTENIBILE NELLA PRODUZIONE CERAMICA MEDIANTE L’IMPIEGO DI MATERIE PRIME SECONDE E COMBUSTIBILI ALTERNATIVI
Obiettivo: in linea con obiettivi e finalità dell’APEA Distretto Industriale di Civita Castellana, di cui l’impresa è socia, con il progetto la NEW SPICA S.R.L. tende a sviluppare un processo produttivo più sostenibile mediante sostituzione delle materie prime tradizionali con materie prime seconde. Il progetto CHAMOTTE 5.0 consiste quindi nella riduzione delle materie prime utilizzate per la produzione della chamotte, componente fondamentale per la produzione di impasti ceramici e refrattari, utilizzando materie prime seconde derivanti dal recupero di scarti dei processi industriali (rifiuti non pericolosi).
L’obiettivo principale è ridurre l’impatto ambientale e migliorare l’efficienza (sia di materiali che di energia, sebbene non interessata dal bando) di un settore, quello ceramico, tradizionalmente ad alto consumo di risorse.
Il progetto, identificato con numero A0787-2024-099184, è realizzato da NEW SPICA S.R.L. con una spesa totale ammessa di Euro 2.215.000,00 ed è co-finanziato dal Programma FESR Lazio 2021-2027, nell’ambito dell’Avviso Pubblico “Verso Processi Produttivi Sostenibili”, con un contributo concesso di Euro 1.458.175,00.
